Studio South

The project scope includes a brand strategy and a visual identity for the Architectural studio: Studio South.

Studio South is an architectural practice based in Dubai, UAE, and Beirut. It is founded in 2023 by Jana Shamseddine, an architect, urban designer and researcher. The studio is run by a comprehensive implementation of architectural and construction projects as well as a research practice. The word ‘South’ reflects the architect’s interest in regional architecture and a passion that goes further than just aesthetics; one associated with academic research projects about the Global South, the Arab region in general, and the Arab Mediterranean countries in specific; one that tackles complex large-scale design problem in which conflicts across different scales must be negotiated, profoundly investigated leading into radical interventions. Moreover, the term ‘South’ is a tribute to her roots; coming from the South of her country Lebanon.
